Wei Wang,PhD, PE - CEO and Founder

Dr. Wei Wang is the president and founder of UrbanTech with over 30 years of experience in building and bridge construction engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in five states and holds degrees from Tongji University in Shanghai and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), where he completed his doctoral studies in structural engineering. Dr. Wang has served on the NJIT Board of Visitors and Industry Advisory Board since 1994 and is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction. In 2025, he was elected to the National Academy of Construction in recognition of his expertise in accelerated bridge construction, innovative project delivery, and leadership on technically complex infrastructure projects.

In 1999, Dr. Wang founded UrbanTech and began his dreams to establish an innovative engineering company in a simple basement in Edison, New Jersey. Dr. Wang's breakthrough projects inclue Marine Parkway and Third Avenue Bridges which were selected as Prize Bridges by the AISC. UrbanTech has since established itself as a leading force in Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC).
