BIM & Temporary Works Engineering

UrbanTech Consulting Engineering provided BIM coordination and temporary works structural engineering for the Marine Parkway – Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge as part of the MTA’s MP-09 Design-Build program. Working with Kiewit Engineering, UrbanTech supported critical elevator, span lock, and barrier gate rehabilitation on this active NYC movable bridge.

BIM & Digital Coordination

  • Developed a project-specific BIM Execution Plan

  • Performed LiDAR scanning to capture accurate existing conditions

  • Built and coordinated LOD 400 BIM models for proposed work

  • Led clash detection at key design milestones

  • Delivered a coordinated as-built BIM model

Temporary Works Engineering

  • Designed suspended scaffold anchorage systems

  • Engineered temporary supports for barrier gates

  • Designed material staging platforms within bridge towers

  • Performed peer reviews of protective shielding and access platforms
